There is no greater joy than seeing the results of something that you have invested time and energy into. Whether it’s receiving your diploma after years of discipline in school or crossing the finish line of a marathon, the feeling of completion is a moment to appreciate. However, there are moments in between the decision and the outcome that almost feel like a roller coaster of emotions that seem to never end.
Earlier this week my husband and I decided we were going to exercise regularly. Now let me just be transparent here, we decided this over a year ago and then…Pandemic. You would think that being quarantined for almost a year would give plenty of time to pick up and maintain a fitness routine. Nope! We found many things to do, homeschool, painting, redecorating, and so much more, but ask me if I picked up a weight or hopped on the treadmill. Have you ever wanted a desired outcome, but didn’t want to take the time and energy to accomplish it? I believed, at some point an Easy Button would mysteriously appear, then I would push it and instantly be as fit and firm as Angela Bassett.
I once heard that “Fitness is 20% exercise and 80% nutrition. You can’t outrun your fork” I knew that the decision to be healthy does involve eating well, but when it came to the physical fitness part, I thought got a get out of exercise free card for being vegan. Now that I’ve restarted this journey of fitness, I wanted to share and encourage others to continue on your journey of healthy living. Whether your decision is to cut down on sugar, exercise regularly, or just be more conscious of what food enters your body, know that it’s a lifestyle change. Any lifestyle change that is worthwhile is not going to be easy, but it will be rewarding.
As you aim for a fit and healthy lifestyle here are some tips to help you reach your desired goal
